Happy Valentine's Day!

Here's a picture of my February block hanging on our gate.  If you squint your eyes just right, you should be able to see the two hearts in the center!

After a big push to get ready to host a booth at the International Quilt Festival, Rhoda and I were grateful to take some time off in December to enjoy the Christmas holiday.  But we were happy to get back into teaching again for our January class.  We had an outstanding group that painted some wonderful blocks.

We still have room for two students in our February 22nd class.  You can go to the "Classes" tab and register online now.

The Colorado Valley Quilt Guild will host their Annual Quilt Show on February 28 and 29th at the Knights of Columbus Hall in LaGrange.  We are pleased to tell you that we will be set up on the porch entrance and will be handing our maps and flyers for the Quilt Block Trail in Winchester.  We will also have quilt blocks for sale.  So stop by for a visit.  Pick up a map or use your phone to drive to Winchester to view the scenery and 60 beautiful quilt blocks.  It will be a little early to enjoy the wildflowers, but you can always come again!

My daughter and I have attended two barn quilt classes. My daughter (a 30-something) has really gotten into the planning and painting.
The ladies who guide you in the class are wonderful! So supportive, and they help make it a fun experience!
I highly recommend taking a class!

My sister and I have taken the class together 7 times, sometimes with other family members also joining us. We always have an enjoyable, relaxing day and go home with a beautiful painted quilt block to treasure. The instructors are very knowledgeable, helpful, and encouraging. I will probably run out of places to hang my paintings before I am ready to stop painting! This is a lovely way to spend a day. Ladies--grab your sisters and besties and sign up for a class!
